Microsoft’s June 10 update of its Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) was updated to detect and remove game password-stealing malware. And surprisingly more than 2 million PCs disinfected in the first week (out of some 330 million downloads of the MSRT).
After the first week of MSRT’s release the numbers looked like this:

Amazing isn't it? First week of June and over 2 million PCs has infected. How could this happen?
Most of gamers not running antivirus on their PC and also many of them downloading dodgy copies of games and the cracks to match.
What can we do to avoid being infected?
1. Running an up-to-date anti-virus
2. Patch your browser
3. Enabling Automatic Updates
4. Disabling the Explorer ‘autoplay’ feature
