Few Tips to Prepare During Ramadan

ramadan
The month of Ramadan is highly honored by Allah, His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as well as Muslims throughout generations.

Allah Almighty says,

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong)... (Al-Baqara 2:185)

And now Ramadan is only a few days ahead, what should we do to prepare Ramadan in order to get benefit from this month.

Below are a few tips to prepare during fasting in Ramadan from Sheikh Ahmad Kutty:

1. We should empower ourselves by learning as much as we can about the precise laws as well as the benefits of fasting.

23 Dua from The Holy Quran

berdoa"And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I respond to the dua (prayer) of every suppliant when they calleth on Me " [Al-Baqara 2:186]

1. Our Lord! Give unto us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and guard us from the doom of Fire. (Al-Baqara 2:201)

2. Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance and make our foothold sure and give us help against the disbelieving folk. (Al-Baqara 2:250)

3. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! (Al-Baqara 2:286)

4. Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us! (Al-Baqara 2:286)

5. Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk. (Al-Baqara 2:286)

Islam Says About Divorce

muslimfamily Marriage is indeed a sacred bond that brings together a man and a woman by virtue of the teachings of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Indeed, Allah Almighty describes this relationship is as though one is a garment to the other; “...They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them...” (Al-Baqarah: 187), thus illustrating the closeness, affection, warmth and love of one for the other.

But what should be done in cases of irreparable breakdown of relationships or in other cases love disappears and life brings about challenges that are too hard for some marriages to resist.

Fasting in Sha'ban

crescent Shaban is one of the meritorious months for which we find some particular instructions in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). It is reported in authentic hadiths that Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) used to fast most of the month in Sha’ban. These fasts were not obligatory on him, but Sha’ban is the month immediately preceding the month of Ramadan. Therefore, some preparatory measures are suggested by the Prophet (Pbuh).

Islamic View on Reincarnation

islamicfuneral Question:

Dear Scholar,

What is your view regarding the re-incarnation belief held by the majority of Hindus?

Answer:

Wa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

As Muslims, we do not believe in the re-incarnation. We believe that Allah created Adam and Eve and from them the human race descends generation after generation.

How to Approach and Treat Non-Muslim Neighbors

Islam encourages Muslims to treat their neighbors in a gentle way that reflects the true and genuine spirit of Islam as exemplified in its tolerant aspect especially with people of other faiths. It makes no difference whether the neighbors are Muslim or non-Muslim. Further, a Muslim must be good to his neighbors, no matter their religion.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The best companion in Allah's estimation is the one who is best to his companion, and the best neighbour in Allah's estimation is the one who is best to his neighbour." Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it.

Below are ten tips on how to approach your non-Muslim neighbors in a kind way that exemplifies Islamic manners:

Muslims View on Holocaust

genocide Question:

As Muslims, what opinion should we hold of the Holocaust? Some religious people I know said that it was a good thing. Surely, Islam does not teach the mass murder of millions of people as a good thing?

Answer:
As Muslims we are not allowed in Islam to condone holocaust, genocide, or murder of any people, regardless of their religious, ethnic or racial affiliations. Allah says, "For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than man slaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if be had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had: saved the life of all mankind." (Al-Maidah: verse 32). The fact that they are Jews does not make any difference.
